Membership brochures seeking support from the residents and businesses in the Williamstown, New Ashford, and Hancock communities have been mailed in an effort to reach 2010's goal of $67,000 -about 7 percent of the projected operating budget.
Village Ambulance Service depends on the annual membership from individual residents and families, and sponsorships from area businesses to help defray operational overhead.
The service has operated within its budget for the past several years and, despite current national economic woes, hopes to repeat this feat in 2010.
