Getting Ready For Your Hybrid EMT Course

You need to have completed the following checklist before the first day of classes. Each of these steps is necessary to successfully complete your course!   

  

1. Attend the on-site (face-to-face) Orientation Session.

All students wishing to take our Hybrid EMTcourse will need to attend the on-site (face-to- face) orientation session. 

2. Get your text books at Village Ambulance Service headquarters.

You need to pick up your text books at Village Ambulance Service headquarters located at 30 Water Street, Williamstown, MA 01201 prior to the start of class. You can also arrange to have books shipped to you by calling 413-458-4889. 

3. Find out if you have the computer equipment and skills you need.

To take our Hybrid EMT course, you must have access to a computer with Internet access and email. You will also need to know some basic computer skills. Please check the details on our Requirements page to make sure your prepared.  

4. Make sure "Hybrid" learning is right for you.

Our Hybrid EMT course is flexible and convenient, but it's not for everyone. It requires self-discipline, self-motivation, and some technical know-how. If you enjoy working independantly, you will probably succeed. Please take our quiz to help you decide if our Hybrid EMT course is a good for choice.

5. Begin your course on the first day of class.

You are responsible for beginning your class on time. Instructions for accessing your course will be discussed at the on-site orientation session. Please note that the course is  NOT available to students until the first day of class.
